The Great Chase Restaurant Review
The Great Chase
Sundae Girl
The Sober Sisters love hanging out together and we are really excited about trying out the new menu at the Great Chase.
In the meantime, we are reminiscing about our last visit. The restaurant prides itself
on not only being halal but tayyib (literally ‘pure’) using free range, responsibly sourced, high quality ingredients with a fully functioning alcohol free bar. For starters, we sampled the pulled beef croquettes and the grilled prawns, both delicious, particularly the latter were a real treat & cooked to perfection.
Following this was the sweet potato gnocchi, these little potato dumplings were full of flavour with a fluffy textures.
The star of the show though, was the steak, 32 Day aged Angus beef! It was flavoursome and literally melting in the mouth. I have to admit it is among the best steaks I have eaten in London.
Even after this showstopper, the desserts were superb - the whipped cheesecake was light and delicious, the apple crumble was richly heart warming and the chocolate and strawberry dessert was satisfying enough for even the most die hard chocoholic like myself!
With appetising alcohol free cocktails and wines to compliment our
food and a round of herbal tea to bring our evening to a close, our experience at the Great Chase was really special. We can’t wait to return to this gem of a restaurant.
